Default Renting Out a Thule Rooftop Cargo Box

Hello fellow wheeler dealers.

I've got an underutilized Thule rooftop cargo box (Force XT XXL) that I'm thinking about renting out.

Does anyone have experience doing this? I'm curious about how you set things up to protect yourself against damage/theft, marketing, etc.

Thanks in advance!

There's a guy on Kijiji who does this; Ryan's Rack Shack. He's got a plethora of boxes and racks that he rents out. Click Me

Seems like a profitable side gig. I was going to use him but then found a great deal on a Thule cargo box in Cochrane.

My first thought would be having only one to rent would likely not be worth it. there would be lots of demand on the weekends, and then you would be dealing with constant emails and requests and then dealing with no shows... like running a constant low value posting on facebook marketplace... shoot me now

I used to have a little bit to do with Packasport when they first came out and have ownership of a few of the molds. How much of a market is there for roof top carriers these days?

I used Ruckify in the past to rent out things I hardly used but I remember they folded a while ago. Perhaps there is some other app that you can use to do this.

As in you can make one? Pm me what moods you can make please. Like the slim line ski racks. Needs to fit 188cm skis and some small weekend luggage perhaps.
