#Raiders QB Derek Carr went 4-17 in the red zone on Saturday. That's the 2nd-most red zone incompletions in a game over the last 20 seasons, regular season or playoffs
That surely was the best offensive performance of all-time by the Bills, even more so when you apply the weather context. Every meaningful drive ended in a touchdown, Josh threw at an 84% clip with a ridiculous 12.3 YPA and 14.7 YPC, they averaged 9 yards a play, just complete and utter domination. That performance was why I thought they could win the AFC, but it's just as likely they go out next week and lay an egg. But their best is gonna be tough for anyone to stop.

There's little doubt the officials messed up that call. The Raiders DB stopped after the whistle. What bothers me is the official the blew the whistle should have admitted to Boger that he blew it before the catch. Boger and his crew were horrible and the NFL has to look in the mirror because if that crew is one best they can provide for a wildcard weekend, they clearly have a problem as that was CFLesque officiating.
All of that said the Bengals were the better team and deserved the win. The Raiders just weren't sharp enough and made way too many mistakes. The offensive line in particular was a disaster as they put themselves in rare air yesterday. It's a miracle the game was that close given how bad the offensive line was.
The Raiders' rebuilt offensive line, which improved as it seemed to find its identity down the stretch, took many steps back against the Bengals. Every starting member of the line -- left tackle Kolton Miller, left guard John Simpson, center Andre James, right guard Alex Leatherwood, right tackle Brandon Parker -- picked up a penalty on Saturday. In fact, in a fourth-quarter scoring drive, they had three holding penalties, becoming just the second team in the past 20 seasons to have that many on a single drive of a playoff game, joining the 2014 Carolina Panthers.
Las Vegas also pulled off that trifecta once in the regular season, getting flagged three times for the same penalty on a drive against the Chicago Bears in Week 5. All other teams did it three times combined, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Talk about growing pains.
All I can say is, I'm so glad Titans don't have to play the Bills next week, they looked unstoppable. Let them and KC slug it out. Bengals won't be easy either, especially with their passing game and the fact Burrow beat them last year.

You don't even have to score there. You can get a first down. It's 3 yards. It's very unlikely they'll be in anywhere near as good a situation to get the tying TD now. There's a totally reasonable possibility that you'll have your (quite excellent today) kicker in something resembling range.
I'd be interested in seeing the numbers but I cannot imagine they favoured the field goal. I doubt it'd even be close.
So going for it would have increased their WP by 0.9%. But since they only had 5% WP at that point it cost them 20% of their remaining WP. So you can feel right! I was more surprised to learn that going for it was only a 45% likely to convert, I would have thought for sure in 2022 that a 4th and 3 would be over 50% conversion rate.
