Obviously I have no inside info, but I firmly believe Treliving isnt the hand-sitting type. He's never been that way before, so I dont believe he's doing it now.

Give it some time for the dust to settle, teams to reflect on their cap situation and things will get moving again.

Yeah, surprised Frolik has not been moved yet... but I guess teams will start circling back if they missed out on someone in free agency.. I guess.

I wonder if the Islanders would be interested in Ferland if they lose Lee

Hasn't Tree typically made his big moves on day two?

Treliving speaking to the media in a few minutes. Doesn't look like they have anything in the works.

Now that a lot of the big fish are gone, I'm, really interested in where the medium fish go. Gardiner, Ferland, Dzingle, all could end up going on decent deals now

I would love to pick up Dzingel as I think his speed could be a terrific addition to the team. I would much rather have him over Ferland.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Likely costs a lot more than Ferland too, but I agree he'd be a great add

I am kind of wary of Dzingel. Read lots about how the BJs were very disappointed in his play and regretted the trade.

That can definitely be true. However, everytime I watched him, he looked really good. He is still a relatively young player and maybe the Flames can get him on a deal. He would be signed by now if he was getting the big term and dollars (I think).

3 years x 3.5 mil ... replaces Frolik.. might be a pipe dream though.

Has Pontus Aberg signed yet?

I'd like the Flames to sign him for speedy RW depth.

Rieder still out there. He may be a bounce back / buy low candidate

Hasn't signed yet, but I don't think he adds much that Czarnik doesn't

Internal competition, two chances at finding a player instead of one, plus the loser of the battle maybe ends up as a ringer for the Heat.

^Is he reliable? I would like Ferland back for sure for the right price.

Then all we would need to do is trade Frolik, get Kadri in a trade and then dreams would come true.

At this stage, replacing Frolik with Ferland would be an acceptable change.

Still, not a significant upgrade on the 2nd line is disappointing.

If the flames bank on progression over last year's offence, i think they will be in for a rude awakening...

And we lost Hathaway, so it would be nice to get some size back. We are a small team and it kinda started showing in the ladder half of the season and playoff ”Run”
