Once more unto the breach, Petr!
I guess CP believes in seeing dreams come true (we're Flames fans after all - always wanting to see that dream come true) and this one is too good not to see happen.

I was thinking about it a lot, then I said to myself, if somebody contacted Aeneas after that my "no thanks" post, that really means something and it would be now like "polite" to accept. After a few days of many conversations with my family and friends, I said yes, thank you very much. I would probably really not be able to come this season, not that I have no money, but I just have no money for CGY trip /family things etc/.
So here I am, uncomfortable, but unbelievably moved by this whole thing. It really means MUCH to me, it is nice to have this kind of huuuuge support. Will be really "SOMETHING" for me again to go to the Sadlledome, to see my beloved Flames, Jagr in a CGY uniform on my own eyes, to see all of you guys again etc.
Thank you very much!

If there is any one Flames fan who actually DESERVES to have something like this happen, it's you Calgaryboy!!! Your love for the Flames rivals that of any of us diehards here, and now with Jagr on the team? How could you NOT be here? It would be a travesty for you to miss seeing Jagr live in Flames silks.
So YAY!! You are coming, and I'll even hup my ass out of my hermit hole to hang with you!

Awesome job everyone!
Aeneas, I know you said you don’t need to go to the games, but I think you should go to one of them. You deserve it.

Very cool and kudos to all that helped out! I love seeing these selfless acts in the name of simply bringing joy to others. Great job guys!
what an experience! I certainly understand Calgaryboy's reluctance, but I'm sure he realizes how special an opportunity and gesture this is.
I hope you all have a great time!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that won't come around again. To see your childhood hero and countryman play for your favourite team is so incredibly rare and you can't save up and get it back.
I get where you are coming from, no one likes to accept "charity" but this is also very cool for us on the forum who get to live vicariously through you.
I will try and make it to the pub to meet you, but if not enjoy Calgary again.

We need to get Petr an honorary membership in the Travelling Jagrs.

This may sound crazy, but one reason is my son is first year Atom and what if he plays the same night? Watching my son play trumps the Flames every day.
ps They are undefeated btw, and may play on Breakfast TV live on Friday! They are in the final. Watch for him. He wears #19 for Tkachuck. Plays D like Brodie! Go Trailswest Wolves!

I wonder if there's a way to get Petr to meet with Jagr himself at the Dome... I suppose the Calgary Flames could be contacted directly and informed of this trip...

Dion has offered to take Petr to the morning skates on game days.
It is a great opportunity to meet Flames players.

Sometimes they practice at winsport which is easy to get to for the public. Not sure how often, but if they practice there while he is here that’s a prime opportunity for him to meet Jagr

CB was a fantastic host. We went everywhere in his area of Czech we could in the time we were together. Mrs. Furnace and I had an awesome time and it was the highlight of an otherwise excellent trip.
Aeneas, there is a ticket for you for the March 11th game to sit beside Petr if you can swing it.
EDIT: We need to fund Petr's mom to come over and cook for us. That Goulash...
