That felt like a typical 2021 Cavalry half. Lots of chances to start with no finish, poor set plays, not giving up much and then taking a bunch of unnecessary yellows.
Trafford and Loturi are bossing the midfield. Musse having a poor game. Is Tabla even on the pitch?

The question at the start of the season was where is the offence going to come from? That question hasn't been answered after game #1.
I think Ottawa will be better this year than last year.

Tough loss. Cavs were the better side in the second half, Mason and Musse had chances but couldn’t finish.

Meh. Lacklustre performance. Early days yet. Offense a major concern. Onward!

That was disappointing. They played reasonably well, but couldn't finish anything.

Classic Ottawa / Cavalry game. This Cavalry team looks a lot like the 2021 team.

Considering the bicycle kick and the time remaining that is the most pathetic crowd and response you could possibly imagine for the moment. Like the cheer literally sounded like a bunch of kids gathered around the soccer field at recess.

Forge lost to Pacific 2-1. I'm not cheering for a Pacific victory, but I'm always happy to see Forge lose!

The new Pacific Alternate Jersey is so nice, I would love for every team in the league to work with local Indigenous artists and design kits like this.

I support and love the idea of working with Indigenous artists to design alternate jerseys, but that will not translate on the field. Way too busy, with all the details being designed for up close encounters.

I can’t wait until May 1st for that first Cavs game, and in particular, getting that red smoke going and the scarves raised and the chants loud and proud!

You may have heard of this club in England, but I think they are doing OK with the busy theme.

Can you bring a folding chair to the grass sitting area? Or do you literally have to sit on the grass. It's been so long I can't remember.
And now I have small kids.
