Happy to see Simpson re-sign. just a great kid. I wouldn't bet against him playing in the NHL someday he has always found a way to get to the next level.
He goes to the same gym as my 13 year old hockey playing son and he was nothing but awesome to my Will.
They had a Friday morning at 7am speed workout they did together every week this summer. Nice for him to let a 13 year old tag along and learn how a pro trains. It had a big impact on him.

Gallant on a two year deal?
It never occurred to me that AHL-level deals could be for more than one season.

That Reid Perpeluk was the only player to me that stood in the 2 prospects games.
He has a great motor , hit everything and makes me wonder if we see him called up before the years out if we run into injuries.

Is anyone surprised that Dustin Wolf got a shutout victory in Stockton first preseason game last night?
Didn't think so!

Emelio Pettersen had a goal and assist
Francis had a goal as well
Wolf made 34 saves
Gravel, Phillips and Wellinski wore A's. Guessing they might save the Captain C for Froese

Im more than ok with Parsons not being in the mix and Wolf playing full time in Stockton. Blessing in disguise one might say.

It certainly cleans up the question of who goes where. You can comfortably play Werner and Wolf in the A without "blocking" another prospects development.

I'll be at the game tonight, I'm interested in seeing what they have to offer.
My ffirst live hockey game since a year ago last February I believe.
I don't go to exhibition games, so I haven't even seen the Flames play yet this season.
