It's that time of year again. The College teams are starting their exhibition seasons this weekend, with the real games starting next week.
The Flames did not draft any College-bound players in June, and Jon Gillies is the only player to leave College over the summer, so the list of teams with Flames prospects is unchanged from last season.
Here are the NCAA teams with Flames picks on their rosters:
Last season, four of the Flames six College prospects played in the National Championship game. Gillies, Jankowski, and Gilmour's Providence Friars defeated Hickey's Boston Terriers to win the Championship. Gillies was named the Frozen Four tournament MVP and Gillies and Jankowski were named to the All-Tournament team.
BU won the Hockey East Conference after a phenomenal Hobey Baker winning season from Jack Eichel. While not quite as good as Eichel, Hickey also turned heads with his freshman season performance.
Providence recently announced that Jankowski will be one of the team's Alternate Captains for this season.
In the USCHO.com preseason poll, BU is ranked 3rd; Providence is 7th; and Colgate is 20th.
All four teams start their regular seasons on the road next weekend.
