I remember as a little 11-year-old kid watching Dean Arsene play for the Kootenay Ice. What a blast from the past it would be if he made the team.

I am HUGELY disappointed with Poirier's and Klimchuk's performances thus far. A combined minus 3 and NO POINTS. We could have had Petan and Shinkaruk instead. What a missed opportunity! (I am joking BTW.)
For those that care I am doing my annual spread sheet keeping track of all of the Flames property. It is located here for those that want it. It is also linked in my signature. This will be my third season doing this. The past two seasons are also linked.

I believe in the Jays.

I'd give Kane Lafranchise a spot on the Heat based on his name alone. That's a badass name. I mean his last name is "The Franchise"... how cool is that.

Relax. Poirier has a goal and an assist after one period tonight. Hopefully Klimchuk can unbust himself too in his game tonight.
EDIT: Poirier adds another assist in the second. He looks really dangerous out there.
EDIT2: Never mind, that was apparently somebody else!

You are indeed correct.
Poirier has a goal, two assists, a slashing penalty, and a fight after two periods of play tonight!

And he just added a nice breakaway goal. 2 G, 2 A for him tonight.

I don't think this has been posted before: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/new...son_top_10.php
College Hockey News has put out their preseason top 10, and both Boston College (4) and Providence College (9) are on the list. All five of the Flames prospects on the two teams get mentioned as key players.
Also, former Flame, Marty McInnis has joined the Boston College coaching staff as an assistant: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/new...o_bc_staff.php

Love it, complete game, drives to the net, sticks up for himself. If that's the kind of player he's going to be in the NHL, this was a great pick.

I'm actually excited for Rafikov. Outside of our first rounders I'd say I'm most exited for Tim Harrison, Keegan Kanzig, then Rushan Rafikov. I'm more pumped on him than other guys like Kulak and Culkin. I couldn't tell you why.. something just feels right about him.

Kenny Agostino, Johnny Gaudreau, and Jon Gillies have been named to pre-season All-Conference teams.
Agostino was named to both the ECAC Coaches and ECAC Media Pre-Season All-Conference Teams
Gaudreau and Gillies were named to the Hockey East Writers & Broadcasters Association Pre-Season All-Conference Team, with Gaudreau being a unanimous selection.
