Karolina Muchova (who upset Naomi Osaka a couple of days ago) just bageled Maria Sakkari. Match is on TSN5.

Muchova ends up winning a crazy match with Sakkari (was down 5-love in the second set tie-breaker and then won six straight points to have a match point, but Sakkari ends up winning the second set tie-breaker 11-9). Muchova wins a tight 3rd set 7-5

Poor Alcaraz was playing pretty well but looks like he strained a muscle in his abs and might have to throw in the towel.
Well it looks like he is going to keep playing, let's see how long he lasts. Initially it didn't look good.

Nice of Rafa not to bagel the kid on his birthday.

That was some fine tennis from Alcarez to earn a break.

And immediately followed by a motivated Rafa breaking back at love punctuated with a fantastic return winner.

Alexei Popyrin is close to pulling off a big upset over Jannik Sinner as he leads 7-6 5-1
Edit: Popyrin closes out Sinner 7-6 6-2. A combination of the Aussie playing some lights out tennis and Sinner looking out of sorts today.

Garin ousts Medvedev 6-4 6-7 6-1. Nadal is taking on Popyrin as I type.

I don't think Nadal was very good today and he still wins easily 6-3 6-3 over Popyrin.

Isner has just eliminated Andrey Rublev 7-6(4) 3-6 7-6(4). Rublev actually won 13 more points than Isner did in the match.

Casper Ruud just won the opening set in a tie-breaker over Greek Yogurt. Both guys playing high quality tennis.

Isner is actually not bad on clay. I think it's because he's slow so on clay he can retrieve more.

lol - Actually, the conditions in Madrid are hot and dry today and the court is pretty fast (for clay). Isner was serving bombs today and once he gets it to a tie-breaker, he's tough to beat.
