Default Nintendo 3DS

Anybody try it out or purchased one yet?

Seems like the next step in gaming with 3D no glasses.

Wondering if the 3D is actually good?

Stopped by an EBGames yesterday but they didn't have a Demo booth

Supposed to be a very narrow field of view from
what I've read.

Wait until some good games come out, apparently that is the main problem.

The 3D effect is awesome. I was really impressed with it when I tried it out. Unfortunately there's no really good games worth getting for it. I'm waiting for Zelda and Star Fox.

I wonder how this thing will play when you're on the bus, or in a long car ride. Your eyes are already somewhat strained looking at the 3D objects, I'm assuming the extra bouncing around will make it even worse.

Of course, there's the option to turn off the 3D, but that just defeats the whole purpose of playing 3D games.

All in all, I'm intrigued so far, but not so much that I want to go out and buy one yet. The other thing is the somewhat short battery life. Knowing Nintendo, you know there's going to be numerous iterations of the 3DS. I think I might hold out until they re-release it in a couple years.

The effect is pretty darn cool - the AR card thingy also has a lot of potential.

SF4 is pretty much a must get if you are buying the system right now. Yen is right though, Nintendo will certainly put out another money printing machine at some point.

I dont think i could play it anyways, i have a lazy eye and it makes anything 3d almost impossible to watch. When i saw Avatar i only saw about 1/2 of the 3d effects and my eyes killed after.

I know eh? I can't see anything in 3D, effect just doesn't work for me.

Was better when I was a small child, but now that I'm 20 and I rarely get the effect, I got it from one scene in Avatar and that was it.

Still going to buy the 3DS though, Zelda and MGS3 will be awesome on it.

Not buying one until Zelda though, which should be June.

Also, the $250 price tag is insulting. The normal one is like $170, and they are charging $80 more. And it isn't the raw materials, it costs Nintendo just over $100 to make 1.

....awesome.

The 3DS is pretty amazing. I have Pro Evolution Soccer and SSFIV3D ().

Both look amazing. The 3D in Pro Evo is insane. Being able to judge distance based on depth/position is freaky.

Pretty impressed with it so I have no problem recommending it to anyone interested...although you may want to wait for a few more games. Once Zelda comes out, I'd say the system is a must-buy.

I know I say this a lot these days... but if you like the 3DS you should see 3D on a big screen.
