Did you pre order it? How long did it take for you to receive it?
As you can see, I'm still rocking a Nexus 6p. It's beyond time for me to get a newer phone lol.

I got it at the Telus store in North Hill on the weekend. I happened to be at the mall and went in to see if they had any, and they did so I just got it there. I had briefly looked into ordering one from Google earlier in the week but decided not to for some reason, probably too long of a wait.

Just checked the Telus website, they have the phone listed for $540. I believe you can get it from the Google store for $479.

Yeah, they gave me $50 off so that's closer anyway. I too just looked at the Google store and the Priority shipping only gets it here by October 30th. That was probably why I didn't do it that way. My Essential phone was going downhill fast. I'd deleted a bunch of apps and changed settings to help the battery but just coming to work I'd be down to under 80% battery whereas before I'd be down to like 96% or something. I would have to charge it half way through the day!

That's good stuff. I suppose retailers are free to charge what they want for the phone.
I apologize. After re reading my response it came across as crass. It wasn't my intention. I just noted that the price on the Telus website was different than the one on Google store.
Did you find it a huge jump from the essential phone to the 4a? My phone is pretty much going through similar issues as your old phone. It would get to 50%, and if I opened the camera app, it would shut down. Terrible.

I really liked my Essential, but I like this one too. Still getting used to it, it's lighter so I feel like I'm going to fling it away sometimes. I only had Android 10 on the Essential, so 11 is different. It's similar, but different if you know what I mean. It does seem fast enough for me. I've never gone for those flagship models, I'm too cheap I guess...

I really like my ph1 aswell. It is starting to get flakey though . Going to wait for black Friday and see what shakes loose. To be honest I love this phone and will miss it. In the mean time I'll factory reset it and cross my fingers. Been over a year since I've done it so probably due.

My main issue with my Pixel 3XL is it has ####ty Bluetooth connectivity. Can't workout or go for runs with wireless buds without it constantly cutting out. I ended up buying a smartwatch to run my music off of when I'm running and I've had zero connectivity issues, so I know it's the phone.
I can't even move it more than a couple feet away from my portable Bluetooth speakers without connection issues.
This will probably be the reason I go with Samsung for my next phone. Yeah you pay a premium but you know you're getting premium hardware as well.

Samsung FE is pretty much what it is billed as.
The camera's are decent, battery life is normal so far, seems pretty snappy but the screen isn't really much better than my Note8, although I am very happy its a flat screen, as the curved edges drive me batty.
I would say this is what phones should be, sub 1000$ and can do all the normal things you need.
Any questions?

Rube that sucks. My bluetooth on my 3XL is much better than my previous Pixel.
Wonder if there is something wrong with the actual radio.

Weird, I have the same phone and no issues at all with Bluetooth. Use buds all the time and they stay connected.

Nice phone, happy with it so far. Smoothest transition to a new phone ever. Just had to plug my old PH1 into it and it moved absolutely everything over. Nice to have a phone with a good camera.
This youtube music app can eat a bag of d***s though. Man is it bad.

Yeah can't believe they killed Google Music. I'm thinking of switching to Spotify or something but I liked the play music integration with Android Auto. Definitely not a fan of YouTube music!

I think the question was more about it playing music already on the phone, not the other way around.

Yes, what Mazrim said.
I guess I'm an outlier these days, I still buy from iTunes. Keep getting iTune cards for bdays and such so have a decent collection synced to my phone.
