Humble Bundle Monthly is turning into Humble Choice. You'll get to see what games will be available for that month and pick up to 10 games depending on your plan.
I made the mistake of cancelling my subscription last month hoping I would get another coupon to stay but ended up with nothing so hopefully next month's plan has something I want so I can lock into the classic plan.
I got a year’s subscription and it’s been pretty hit or miss when it comes to games I don’t already own. I need to stop buying them new to make Humble Choice a good value worth renewing.

It’ll be interesting to see how the choice works.
The only months I didn't pause were January, February, July, and August.
I'm glad they're revealing all the games so you know you're not missing out on games you might want that aren't the early reveals.

COD Modern Warfare out today. Looks pretty good from what I've seen. Anyone playing?

My wife was at the drug store last night at about 9:30 and said there was a lineup of about 50 people outside of EB games. I know The Outer Worlds is released today but I didn't think a new EP like that would cause lineups so I'm kind of surprised people are lining up still for COD games.
Man I'm pretty pumped for Star Wars: Fallen Order. The Battlefront games were cool and all but I'm more of a single player/story mode guy. So this is right down my alley.
Comes out Nov. 15.

I got Modern Warfare. Only played about an hour of the multiplayer so far, I liked it. Im not a big CoD guy, only get it every few years, but I already like this more than the last two I played. Maps are well designed with lots of verticality, kill steaks don’t seem too ridiculous. Haven’t touched the campaign yet.
The Outer Worlds does not disappoint, and considering Bethesda continues to tarnish their already poor reputation I'm glad. It definitely feels like Fallout in space, which is exactly what I had hoped for.

I am not very far into Outer Worlds but I am digging it a lot. As a heads up, you get 2 free months of Game Pass from Alienware: https://na.alienwarearena.com/ucf/Giveaway
When you redeem the code (on the Xbox Beta App for PC at least) it will ask you if you want to set up a recurring subscription. Set that up and you'll get a second month for free and then cancel the sub.

With Disco Elysium and Outer Worlds coming out so close together, I'm strongly considering getting a gaming laptop to play them. If anyone can point me to any good deals, I'd certainly appreciate it - otherwise I guess I could just wait until Black Friday.

It works too if you already have an active subscription. Mine doesn't expire until the end of January now.
I really wish it was made clearer when you created a character in The Outer Worlds that the 6 base attribute points you spend are irreversible and finite. I set my intelligence and perception to good, figuring they'd be the first ones I increase when leveling up. But you don't get any more attribute points, and you can't respec them at all. And I'm already running into dialog options that are locked because I don't have those points maxed, and I didn't even know you could subtract points to go below average to get more than 6 to spend. Only option is to restart I guess

If you subtract points in Outer Worlds you end up with new conditions for your character. For instance, if you subtract a point out of intelligence then you gain access to "dumb" character dialogue options.
