Same here; really liking it.

My gmail started it the other day, I turned it off immediately, but then I decided to give it a chance and I am really liking it. It's really keeping me from being annoyed with all my promotional emails from companies like rogers and hilton honors.

It didn't make a difference to me. Spam goes into the spam folder already, every other email I expected to get (ie. have signed up for at some point) already had a rule moving it out of my inbox and tagging it with a label, some I mark as read and some I don't. Emails I don't expect and so are usually from friends or family stay in my inbox... I rarely have more than 5-10 email in my inbox at any given time. I'm probably not the norm... but I din't get why I'd want to bring emails I've already properly filtered to a tab instead of a label on the side, so I turned it off.

Is everyone supposed to have tabs already? I don't seem to have them either in browser or on phone.

You need to turn them on:

Thanks. I don't think I like the tabs. I just found the priority mailbox not too long ago, and so far, I like that better.
