Hopefully one of these later round Euro's amount to something for us for once. When is the last time we had one actually pan out?
Falkovsky already kaput for us.
Kharna hoo hoo and Rafikov are HeT.
AOM hanging by a thread.
Bjorklund, Ortio, Puustinen, Jonsson...just a whole lot of bleh.
The last Euro we drafted in the later rounds who amounted to anything is freaking Toni Lydman back in 199 freaking 6. And we sent him packing right at the beginning of his damn NHL career lol.
Come on Sveningsson/Lindstrom/Tuulola save us!

Sveningsson signed with a new Swedish team today, IK Oskarshamn through the end of the 19/20 season.
IK Oskarshamn is in the Allsenkavan which is a tier lower than the SHL (Sweden's top league). Teams can get relegated from the SHL into the Allsenkavan while teams in the Allsenkvan can get promoted to the SHL.
His former team HV71 was in the SHL.
Being in the Allsenkvan could be better in terms of development as he will likely get more ice time and opportunity than on a SHL team.

What does that mean for his WJC chances? Do the locks go? Is this just the bubble players? Or is this maybe a group they go into the WJC with?
Making the World Junior Summer Showcase that wrapped up a few days ago in Kamploops would have meant much more in terms of WJC chances. There were much better players with higher draft pedigrees at that event.
That being said there are some players who went to the WJSS for Sweden that are on Sweden's roster for the 4 nations tournament. So it should mean he is on the radar and a good showing here could help earn an invite to the selection camps in December.
The same coaching staff for the WJSS and this tournament.
