It was a close game when the Rangers led 3-2 with 4 minutes left in reg time. They put it out of reach when they scored 2 goals in 8 seconds to make a 3 goal lead and spoil the Sabres night. Namestnikov had 3 points (2g, 1a). The Rangers have the Sabres number as they have beaten them 13 out the last 15 games. No power play opportunities for the Rangers.

Halak made 30 saves for the SHUTOUT. The Ducks rookie goalie Kevin Boyle made 26 saves in the loss. The Bruins had balanced scoring as 9 players each had 1 point.

LOL at the Oilers for losing again. Both teams were perfect on the PK. Crazy start as it was 2-1 for Carolina just 2:16 into the game. Niederrieiter scored 2 goals. McElhinney was a stud in net as he was the main reason Carolina won, he made 40 saves. The Oilers out shot the Hurricanes 17-5 in the 2nd period. The win puts the 9th place Hurricanes just a point back of the BJs and Penguins and 3 points up on the 10th place Sabres.

What did both starting goalies drink or eat before the game? Kinkaid looked terrible on some of the goals and deserved to be pulled. The Wild blew a 4-1 lead and the Devils only shot in OT was the GWG. Dubnyk must have not done his voodoo magic with the bone head pass in OT. Kinkaid had a similar bad pass, a backhand blind pass behind the net which led to the Wild's 2nd goal. Zajac had his goal in the 2nd period called back due to a high stick.
