What the hell happened to the Rangers? Are they still recovering from their New Year's hangover? They were okay in the 1st period as it was tied 0-0. The next 2 periods had the Penguins do a road whooping and Lundqvist was terrible letting in 6 goals on 18 shots before he was pulled.
Gotta say the Canucks were lucky to get the win in OT. The Senators had a lunch bucket crew and nearly pulled it out with a rookie goalie playing like a stud. Marcus Hogberg faced 45 shots in his 3rd career NHL game. Pettersson with the hat trick and Edler with 3 assists. The Canucks are 9th in the conf. one point back of the Ducks.
It was the Pavelski and Burns show for the Sharks as they each had 1g and 3a. Grubauer was pulled after 4 goals. The Sharks nearly blew a 5-1 lead as Jost scored 2 goals in the Avs attempted come back. The Avs are 0-4-2 in their past six games and are just 2 points up on the Canucks.
The Stars shined and then dimmed and then the Devils came on fire. Fun game to watch. Miro Heiskanen and Seguin scored 2 goals each, Seguin with the GWG. Radulov had 3 assists. It looks like Blackwood is now the #1 goalie for the Devils. The Stars are 2 points up on the Canucks.
Yep, too bad the Coyotes couldn't beat the Oilers. The Oilers PP sucked as it was 0-3.
