I really think this is Ryan Leslie's to lose. It's funny how in one medium, radio, I couldn't stand him but in all of the Flames videos he's done since then he's been great. Great presence, good questions, good delivery. Must be something to that "change of scenery" mumbo jumbo.

Could just be him improving his skills as a broadcaster over the years too, I definitely agree though, he's a really good interviewer now.

Ryan Leslie is fantastic in that role, but what especially strikes me is how loved he seemed to be by the Flames players. They were caught messing/joking around with him on camera multiple times last season.
Harnarayan Singh would be a great choice as well, he comes across more publicly passionate about his job and the game than anyone at sportsnet, which is a very good trait that resonates with viewers.
A split of those two would be perfect.

One thing to keep in mind with this posting is that it isn't just the Flames hosting gig on SN, but also other sports reporting around southern Alberta like Millions has done too. I assume there's also some expectation to be an "insider" and post rumours and stuff like we've seen from Millions (hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm).
Depending on the money, it might not be of interest to Leslie, who has it pretty good right now just doing the in-arena stuff at the Dome and posting stuff on the Flames site. He gets to do the fluffy interviews and no one expects him to be posting trade rumours or anything like that. He also doesn't have to run off to cover non-hockey stuff that comes up during the year.
I guess it depends on what his personal preference is.
It does seem like it would be a good fit for Singh. The bonus being that since any Saturday Flames games would be on HNIC with a national host, he'd still be able to do the Punjabi broadcasts.
