2018 Tennis Thread
It’s so crazy during a match where he’s behind how Roger just gets another gear and is like a machine putting the points up. Amazing to watch!

What a great first two sets. Hats off to Feds for stepping up big time in that 3rd set. I never understood how Switzerland didn't win more Davis Cups with Fed and Wawa on that team.

Joker and Cilic are warming up as I type - Weather looks fine (hot and humid).

Well, unless Goffin can pull off a huge upset, we're going to see a Fed - Joker final on Sunday.

all three goats are healthy and playing at a high level at the same time going into USO, which hasn't happened for quite a while. this 2018 tennis season has been really up and down on the epic drama factor, so let's hope the final major is one for the ages.

Given how he has no points to defend the remainder of the year, pretty good chance Novak will end the year at #1.

Still alot up in the air to decide who finishes YE #1. Nadal currently has a 2,300 point lead on Fed and Novak in the year to date point race. And last year he withdrew from Paris Masters 1000 and the ATP World Tour Finals events due to injury, so he has points to add as well.

Just the luck of the draw that Genie plays fellow Canadian Carol Zhao in a US Open qualifying match later today. Peter Polansky is also in action on the men's side. As for Felix, he doesn't get going until Wednesday.

Edmund joins Roger Federer, Alexander Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov, Novak Djokovic and David Goffin on Team Europe. Sock will play alongside Juan Martin del Potro, Kevin Anderson, John Isner, Diego Schwartzman and Nick Kyrgios on Team World.

What a waste of a pick for team World. There going to get beat again by team Europe and Europe isn't even using Nadal, Murray or Wawarinka.
