Polansky's had 4 break point opportunities against Isner in this 2nd set but has failed to convert any of them.
The Carballes Baena/Jarry match I posted earlier was insane.
Carballes Baena served for the match at 5-3 in the 2nd set, had a match point and blew it. Then he loses the 2nd set tiebreak on that shot.
In the 3rd set Jarry goes up 3-0.
Then Carballes Baena wins 4 of the next 5 to serve for the match again at 5-4.
He has a match point again and blows it.
In the tiebreak Jarry has three match points at 6-3 and loses 5 points in a row to lose the match.
Tennis is crazy.

That RCB-Nicolas Jarry match was, as some MTF posters like to say, 'a huge mug fest'.

Ugh Mannarino is the place where tennis goes to die. Chalk that result for Schnur up to playing 8 matches in 10 days and having to fly across the country to the next event.
Thanks to New York and his newfound ranking, with a little luck I think he should be able to avoid qualies and get direct draw entry into Indian Wells and Miami. If he gets a decent draw he might even have enough points to hang in the top 100 for the rest of this season.

It's too late to get into Indian Wells since they take the rankings from a few weeks ago.
He's back on the challenger trail after this. Next week he's in Yokohama and the following week he's in Zhuhai!
I don't expect to see him on the ATP Tour until perhaps the French Open. He's going to try and rack up points in the challengers to get a more stable footing in the rankings.

Ugh. Well surely Miami wouldn't take their rankings until this week (or next) given the event doesn't start for another month. There must be hope for him playing at that event.

I'm not certain but it seems like the miami cutoff has also passed this week.
https://www.miamiopen.com/players
79 players + 5 wildcards + 12 qualifiers to make 96.
At 107 currently, he may decide to try qualifiers, but then he's have to withdraw from Zhuhai. I highly doubt it as he's not going to fly to Asia for one tournament.
Asian Swing is:
Yokohama Feb 25 - Mar 3
Zhuhai Mar 4 - 10
Shenzhen Mar 11 - 17
Zhangjiagang Mar 18-24
However, Drummondville is also Mar 11 -17. So he may come home for that, he's got semifinal points to defend there.

Opelka won again 64 60 over Sandgren.
Servebot might be unstoppable.

Hmm rats.... I would bet he would play Drummondville to defend his points for sure then. He's certainly got a track record of playing the Canadian events thus far as well.
I'd assume he would be a long shot for wild card consideration at either event at this point, but you never know what happens with injuries etc. so it probably doesn't hurt to stay in the area. The way I see it, if you can get into Miami qualies, you go for it over playing another challenger at this point. Especially if you are already close (ish) playing Drummondville the week before.

I think servebot is a little unfair, Opelka moves well for 6'11" and has some pretty nice ground strokes, I would put him as probably the second best American on tour currently after Frances Tiafoe (Taylor Fritz is promising as well).

Felix is up an early break 4-2 on the clay in Rio against Fabio. Promising start for the kid in a pretty big event. If he can consolidate the break it could be a pretty quick set. Against a hot head like Fognini he could certainly self destruct in a hurry if he keeps applying the pressure.

Hopefully, Felix can take this first set - Fabio is known to get disinterested early if things aren't going his way.

Especially against a younger player who is absolutely eating up his second serve so far. Keep it up Felix!

A chance for revenge as Felix next faces Garin who eliminated him from the Argentina Open last week.

Glad I didn't watch then. What a waste of time. Just skip the match and go straight to tiebreaks.
