Decided to try to wait for a dip to buy my Bitcoin. Might be waiting awhile...probably should have just bought some yesterday or day before. I did buy 5000 ADA so hopefully that will start trending up again now. Just gonna hope BTC levels off a bit maybe on the weekend then pull the damn trigger this time! lol Thanks to all for the advice, keep it coming.

I think that is a good call with ADA as it is in a bit of a dip. 65k Canadian for BTC right now...anyone have a flux capacitor laying around?

FOMOing into the market right now is not a good strategy IMO. There will be a correction at some point and a time in the future to buy in, BTC just has all the momentum at the moment and is in price discovery with the new ATH at 52k. I wouldn't chase.

ADA was at like 10 cents in November. I would think there will be a correction to ADA as well in the future, buying in at 88 cents is not really a dip I don't think.

So you think 88 cents is tops for ADA?

That's not what I said. I said ADA will correct in the future. I don't know what the top for ADA is in this run, and neither does anyone else. I think ADA will eventually get $2, $3, $10 down the road and I think it's a great investment. What I'm saying is that ADA is the best performing alt coin at the moment and I don't think it's necessarily a good time to buy in. There is a different between that and saying it has topped out. If you have a different buying strategy, that's cool, I'm just giving my persepctive.

When I decide I like something enough to invest, I always feel best when I just put in 25% of my allotment, regardless of the price. That way I'm atleast in the game. If it goes up, great. If it goes down, it's also great as you can add. Endlessly watching the ticker all week to see if its 49 or 50 is needlessly aggravating.

FYI, Blackrock, the largest asset manager in the world, confirmed they are starting to get into Bitcoin.

There's a YouTube channel called cardano with Paul, there's a good how to on staking. It's very easy and pays decent rewards, typically around 5.5% annualized but the last 2 epochs paid especially well because of high network volume and transaction fees collected.

For those interested.

Incredible how someone like Elon can manipulate markets with simple tweets and it's completely legal.

The ability of the super rich to play on god mode is astonishing.

It isn't legal and he's been fined for it before (with relation to Tesla), but enforcement on guys like Elon is hard and not done often.

Are you a believer that it’s reached a permanent plateau on its quest to 100k and won’t see any 75% drops anymore or that it has juice to drive to 100k before it’s next big drop.

If past cycles are any indication there will probably be a sharp drop near the end of the year or maybe early next year. I suspect it will go from 100-150k back down to 30-60k if that is the case.

a lot depends on these big whale companies buying though...a few more Elon type investments and its not going to drop that sharply. It is naive to think it will only go straight up though.

Personally I am holding long term anyway for at least 5-10 years unless something big changes. Little easier when you bought in at a low price though and I get that.
