I think its pretty obvious in this angle that he touches the ball twice. Tough call but the right one

United 1, VAR 2 after 100 minutes. Super. Probably 15 of those minutes were spent by the refs watching the screen.

If he did touch it, the ball didn't even move before he struck it. Awful call, and a perfect example of how a ref's discretion should overrule VAR.

Didn't Messi also slip at the WC final and double tap? Revoke the World Cup from him.

Bulgarian football has a moment of silence for a guy who's not dead.

https://www.theguardian.com/football...not-being-dead

If he had come home 10 minutes sooner, he would have seen his own tribute.

Well, they say you should give people their flowers when they're still around.
Maybe this should be the new norm; have a pre death tribute for athletes when they reach a certain age.

Ajax's director of football has opened the door to a possible return for Christian Eriksen when his Manchester United contract expires at the end of the season.

Marijn Beuker, who was appointed as Ajax's sporting director in 2023, confirmed the club's interest in the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder in an interview with ESPN but said the 33-year-old's return could not block an academy player's path to the first team.
https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/...lub-chief-says

I've always been a fan of Eriksen and was disappointed when he went to United because...well, its United.

So it'd be neat to see him go back to the Netherlands with Ajax.

The only thing in the back of my mind is that he has that implanted defibrillator and some countries dont allow players to have that, is Holland one of them? I know thats why he was released by Juve, because its against regulations in Italy but not in England and I dont know about the Dutch.

Dutch Bingo!! Got all 3 in one post!

Thomas Müller will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, bringing an end to a 25-year career with the club, after not being offered a new contract.

In a statement, Müller, 35, who started as a youth player and won a record 12 league titles with Bayern -- the most by any Bundesliga player -- said he would have liked to stay on.

"It's clear that today is not like any other day for me," Müller said. "My 25 years as an FC Bayern Munich player will come to an end in the summer. It's been an incredible journey, shaped by unique experiences, great encounters and unforgettable triumphs.

Legend of the club, legend of the game. One of my favourites

I would’ve kept him around for as long as he wanted to stay but I understand the club’s perspective too

I dont know, honestly, I'd have kept him around.

The thing is, he seems like a great leader, a good guy and a good teammate who is happy as a squad player.

He's a nice arrow to have in the quiver on the bench when you just need something to happen.

He is an Agent of Chaos. Sometimes you need a little chaos.
