Voted no as Chara contract is scary, if salary didn’t exist I might have a different answer

I vote no as well as Chara is out for a month, so this deal is ultimately hamonic and Ryan for a bag o’ pucks. Then Chara comes back next year and wreaks havoc on the Rangers cap.

Seems like the NYR GM may think that Hamonic is a pending UFA, so worth clarifying here that he is a pending RFA not UFA.
And he seems like a guy worth re-signing based on that.
I haven't decided though on the deal overall. Need to look at it.

Copied from previous thread
For the Rangers, Bobby Ryan has been struggling, and Hamonic gets me some decent returns. I get something for both Ryan and Hamonic before they walk. I wouldn't have re-signed Ryan, and Hamonic I can take a run at in free agency.
I get 2 middling D to last me rest of season who are both UFA at end (4/5/6 d), a good prospect in Kostin, and what looks to be a great prospect in Geekie.
Rangers have an issue with defense this year and letting too many shots/goals. While Hamonic is one of my best, I can take a run at Free Agency, and I have a handful of D prospects I can give a chance to next year.
I'm not even close to making playoffs this year, so I'm obviously a seller and building my prospect pool and picks
Anyhow, it'd be nice to know everybody's thoughts. If I've offended anybody by accepting this trade, tell me why

Correct, i thought Hamonic was UFA.
This changes my thoughts, but I'm not sure of the rules. I'm assuming it's like chess, so I'll take my licks if it was my screw up.

Deal has to be approved so no wounds to lick yet!
To clarify further, a player becomes a UFA at the age 29.
So that means a player who is 28 right now on your roster page is a pending UFA
27 or lower is a pending RFA.
RFAs have lower grid amounts (the per year dollars you will have to pay) and can be signed to 1, 2 or 3 year deals that are 2 way
Re-signing UFAs have higher grid amounts and are all 3 year 1 way deals. Much more risk.

My view is Ryan is a declining commodity in both the CPHL and the NHL. He will be third line fodder for the Flames. Hamonic replaces two D on my team and his rating is only a CPHL 68. NYR gets a 1st round pick from last years draft who is/was highly thought of, and Geekie who is also a good prospect.
Chara has a large deal, yes. But everyone has a player on a big contract and it is not like Chara is a slouch for ratings, Id just prefer not to wait until he comes back from IR where the NYR are out and can wait.

I admittingly like Bobby Ryan (gave up a lot to get him in Philly), but he's a sim bum. Hot garbage here.
Chara is a workhorse on here. His contract is expensive, but his numbers are still decent. He's better than Hamonic and isn't do bad enough this year that his rating should tumble that much. His NHL contract is up this year, and there's a chance he hangs them up too.
Rangers get some nice beans back in Geekie and Kostin. I think Klim will do well in St Louis.
Add two serviceable D in Miller and Manning (both who could also re-rate equal to or higher than Hamonic) and I think it's pretty fair. Don't love it, but it's not bad enough to reject, imo.

This one is tight enough to keep it going. Please vote. Actual vote is 12-7 as GMs involved cannot vote.

Looks like this one is rejected. please remember everyone should be voted.
Seems close enough that the deal could be tweaked and re-submitted.
