Not a very good game but our skill players made the play when needed and the goalie made a big save to end it and keep it tied a few times. Take the 2 points and run.

Yep those Monday night during a blizzard middle of the season in December games are the best predictor for playoff success.

The strategy for now should be to play Vladar while he’s hot. Don’t necessarily think there will be a goalie controversy. Who knows Markstrom might get back into form down the road and take the net back. There is no debate who should be playing now though. Vlad is the best option at this point.

Nice to see guys like Kadri and Huberdeau rack up some points. Need more of that. Other than that there's still lots of work to do but a win is a win. Let's keep it going on Wednesday.

This game is going to come back and bite us in the ass when they rank quality of wins and demote us in the standings for it.

No wait. A win is a win.

It's so odd that people think we don't deserve the win because our goalie made a big save. He is on the team right?

Their goalie made some big saves too
..it's kinda why they are there.

Such a hockey thing

"Didn't deserve that super bowl..only won because the QB made all those great throws"

Not the prettiest win but Vladar did what Markstrom has had trouble doing and that is timely saves in critical moments which means all the difference to momentum in so many games.

Refs called everything at the start and then put their whistles away for most of the game...I bet the Yotes next game is called differently.

We are lucky we got the 2, they might not give us any next game.

To be fair he let in a bad goal but unlike Montreal the Flames scored 3 tonight

I don't think so. They won't keep losing with a starter not playing well, hence why Vladar is getting starting goalie starts.

But ultimately GMs are human and Brad and the Flames have tens of millions tied up in markstrom and they want him starting.

If I were to guess their strategy, they'll play markstrom as a backup for now, but if he plays well in a back up start they will give him the next start and if all is good he'll gets shifted back to starter.

Make no mistake their goal is to have their high priced starter starting

Weird game
Periods of decent play, then periods of completely being dominated.
To their credit, the coyotes are a better team than they’ve been in the past.
Take the 2 points and fix things up for Wednesday.

Flames did more dominating than the other way around...it wasn't perfect but the Flames were better in every statistical category.
