I'm going against my gut feeling and calling a Flames win tonight. A win where they lose the corsi battle. Thus furthering my belief that the Flames are in fact the Anti Christ to corsi believers.

Jankowski gives the Calgary Flames a better likelihood of outscoring opponents in NHL games than Hathaway, Stewart, Brouwer, Lazar, or Stajan. If he is struggling, an effort should be made to help him, rather than punish him. Especially when those struggles are not unrelated to pucks consistently dying on a certain linemate's stick. If he is struggling with center responsibilities, fine, shift him over to wing and let Shore or Bennett take on some of the tougher duties, as they've both been 3Cs on playoff teams themselves. The twelve guys who give your team the best chance to win should be the twelve guys who suit up at forward. Jankowski is easily one of our top seven forwards this season, despite some natural streakiness to be expected of someone not getting much if any power play time. Scratching him tonight is just another in a long list of Gulutzanisms that have led to the vast underperformance of this roster.

After hearing GG finally lost it on the players again for not showing up in the 1st 25 minutes of the game i have a feeling they will start playing aggressive for the rest of the season.
If they do then were 50/50 on the playoffs and it will be the last game or 2 of the season for a team to clinch.
I wish they played aggressive all season and they would be matching Vegas in the points right now...
Been a fan since 1985 when i was 8 and mad or happy at the team I will be a Fan till i die and watching every game i can like i always have.
Have not typed on this board as much as the last few games but monitor it all season as you guys are the best fans in the league....
Thanks You

We know our team can do better, we are just sucking at putting everything together.

This is a GDT for the hated Oilers. It’s written by many as if it’s a PGT and the Flames lost 6-0 with Stewart and Hathaway each a -7 and Jankowski seen leaving on his white horse early.
The bitching and moaning can go in any number of threads.
I still think the Flames can make it, I hope they do make it into the playoffs, but if they don’t, they have to at least beat the Oilers in the 2 games left. Full stop and anything less is a failure.

9-2 Calgary
At the end of the first period its 4-0 Calgary on goals by Johnny, Johnny, Hathaway, Stewart. Fight breaks out and Kassian gets his stupid face caved in. Like we're taking a crater where his nose used to be, Ferland does the Hulk Hogan grabbing the ear thing.
In the second period, the Flames score again, as Brodie goes end to end, when the Flames do the Flying V. T-Mac does the International sign of what the hell behind the bench. A single beautiful tear rolls down the Nuge's cheek. Meanwhile in the Oilers box Gretzky
McDavid dives, the ref throws him a pair of swimming trunks. The Flames score again as Bennett hammers a shot home from the slot. The period ends with the Flames holding a 6-0 lead.
When interviewed McDavid is asked by Principe what its like to share the ice with himself. McDavid tells him to go F a hat.
the period starts with little Timmy Jackson in goal, the Flames decided to thrill a young fan as the Oilers suck. The Flames score anther goal as Monahan roofs it, Talbot stays down sadly staring at the ceiling lights. McDavid stands up and throws his stick on the ice and leaves the ice never to be seen again, it rumored that he became a kung foo fighting Tibetan Monk traveling the world on a lonely quest to find the planet Kobol.
The Oilers finally score a goal as some guy snipes one passed little Timmy who seems to be dedicated to his nose mine.
The Flames finally hit 9, an Oiler fan throws his jersey on the ice, actually its not a fan its Mess. He tries to pull on a Flames jersey in a heel move but the Flames fans tell him to get lost.
After the game, Principe asks Monahan what its like to share the ice with Draisaitl (because McDavid left). Monahan asks him who that is and walks off.

It seems most winning teams lose the corsi battle:
https://flamesnation.ca/2018/02/13/t...ss-vs-results/
Only 2 of the top 10 teams in the league last season were top 10 in CF%.
EDIT: It's not until the 11th placed Sharks that you find a team with a higher ranked CF% (7th) than Standings rank

Has it been confirmed who the play by play guys are?
Out of curiosity I looked at the past games and it has been Randorf x2 and Quinn once.

Impossible, the best indicator of success is high danger chances.
In all seriousness, I think corsi was invented by bookies to hook gamblers onto spending their hard earned money on hockey bets.
