Fantastic interview with Cory Sarich this morning. Only caught the last 20 mins or so, but will try to find the link after work so I can hear the full segment. The topics I heard were: candid thoughts on Keenan as a coach, what breaking his iron man streak meant (including Warrener's classic "top shelf" story), and the best players he's played against.

If I had come into the interview late, I would've sworn that was Reggie. They both have very similar-sounding voices. Interesting how two of the meanest, hardest-hitting guys on the "Iggy era" Flames like Sarich & Regehr are such quiet, soft-spoken, laid back sounding guys off the ice

I didn't hear Reggie's voice, but you're right - the voice was not one I'd associate with Sarich.
When I tuned in, I was disappointed because I thought they were interviewing some PR guy - the voice was so smooth and easy and professional, like from someone who was used to media appearances. Then I started to hear what he had to say and got immediately interested - a player dishing honest comments about Keenan's coaching style. I love these sorts of inside peeks.
He and Warrener also played off each other really well. Made the commute this morning fly by - actually, almost made me miss a turn I was so engrossed.
They said that Rhett is inviting ex players for the next little bit. I'm assuming once a week. Next week is Reggie.
I also like Rhett talking about the lockout. He said that in about December when the union finally caved, the NHL just said "ok thanks, now here is another list of demands you have to cave to before we'll agreee".
He said at that point all the players (ok maybe not all) just went out and partied and got hammered because they knew there'd be no season.
Pinder invited the Traveling Jagr's into the studio for his 9am show, holy crap are they annoying! It literally sounds like some drunk rubadubs drifted in off the street and are cat-calling the show the whole time and cracking themselves up. I always catch the Wills at 9 segment but had to turn it off halfway through, couldn't take it anymore.
The Jagrs used to crack me up at first just seeing them on TV in the stands, maybe just keep it to that. Those clowns don't need a microphone

What the #### am I listening to. Pathetic stuff from a Calgary station.
Also love how the big show guys just let Spector spit his drivel on our airwaves too. Way too polite to him. Backbones of invertebrates.
Like it or not RSN has bestowed Spector on us as the columnist for both Alberta teams. It's the equivalent of Oilers fans having to put up with Erick Francis covering their team but the Oilers are the golden goose for RSN because they get better TV numbers so we Flames fans have to live with him.
I don't listen to Rome anymore, but you gotta listen daily to get it because it's all inside jokes. I use to really like him years ago, but it's too clones-heavy now I find. I dislike shows that lean too heavily on no name call-in duds.
Man and who is the guy they play on the weekends that has a voice that sounds like he gargled with bleach in between cigarettes? I don't know how anyone listens to that. Seems like the pre-requisite for radio should at least be "fully functional voice box".

Haha. He's on every night I believe. Ferrall on the bench?
He did play by play for the Jackets or Thrashers a while back apparently. That must have been great for those fans.
Still think he's better than Rome. Rome sounds like a 17 year old high school QB stuck in the body of a 50 year old man.

Scott Ferrall's voice can be an acquired taste but he's an American hockey fan which is never a bad thing and he worked his way up from nothing like most radio jockeys. He spent six years on Howard 101 making peanuts before he got his big break.
Has anyone noticed that Ryan Pinder's voice has changed over the past month or so. I remember listening to the morning show saying to myself "Who's the new guy" only to find out it is him.

hahaha I never would have matched that face to that voice

Have they addressed this at all?
He had surgery for some sinus issues or something and that slightly changed how he sounds.
