He climbed, he went from starting the year as a 2nd rnd pick to a mid round first. Now he is hovering around 11-14 with most rankings which is quite impressive. The only place he climbed into the top 10 was on here and a bunch of nobodies from Elite Prospects.

I saw at least three with him top ten for a week, but he's settle back in.

Need Devils in regulation too so they retain the tie breaker if we end up tied after a couple regulation wins ourselves.

Thanks Funky, I'm flattered! Not sure if I'm prepared for the embarassment when the draft looks NOTHING like my list, though.
I've made a few tweaks, as I forgot to include a few very important names in Miguel Marques and Christian Humphreys.

I am really intrigued by Lucas Pettersson if the Vancouver pick is in the 30s, or if he were to fall to our 2nd rounder.
one random opinion https://twitter.com/user/status/1727123503722455209

Lucas Pettersson (C)
Apr 17, 2006 (2024 NHL Draft Eligible)
Pettersson is originally from Örnsköldsvik, one of Europe’s most important hubs for creating successful hockey players. He has spent essentially his entire career in MoDo’s development systems and has already made his debut with MoDo in the SHL. He is a player who loves to play in the slot and is capable of creating a lot of danger for his teammates. His great leadership, hard work and skills place him today as one of the top talents eligible for the 2024 NHL Draft from Sweden.

That's a player on my list as well.

What do you all think about Ben Danford with the Dallas pick?

I get those two mixed up so easily. Both have similar profiles, but Pettersson is the superior offensive player. Wouldn't mind taking him with our late first at all.

I had Danford going in the second round, but he's really faded down the stretch, with only 5 points in his last 25 games. He's a bit too vanilla to be taken earlier than the third round, and even then, there's better options on D in my opinion. He's far from being dynamic enough to make up for his average size, and now his offense has dried up.

I was originally high on him, but continued viewing of prospects around that VAN pick have me starting to waver from him as a selection.

Well said, Royle!

After tonight's games, the Flames are locked in to a top 10 pick (barring awful lottery luck).
Ottawa can't catch the Flames and Buffalo can't be caught. The Flames could pass New Jersey if they get 3 or 4 points in the final 2 games, which would put them into 23rd, or the 10th overall pick. To pass the Flames, Seattle needs to get more points than Calgary in their final 2 games.
Pending the lottery, the Flames will be picking 8-10th overall. Not bad considering they were sitting in the 14th overall spot at the trade deadline.

8-10th locked in ok that’s acceptable.
Who gets to participate in the lottery again?

Every team out of the playoffs. But you can only move up 10 spots. So flames are guaranteed a chance at 1st overall at least

Basically, if the Flames go 0-2, they probably pick 8th.
If the Flames go 1-1, they probably pick 9th.
If the Flames go 2-0, they certainly pick 10th.

Just don’t pass New Jersey. You can guarantee Fitz will take Iginla right before us purely out of spite.

Added to first post!
(re: Sandman's rankings - can update with any tweaks ; )
along with Upside's latest Tweet highlighting link to 134 Sandman profiles!
I'll get another update in next couple of days to keep up.
Enjoy!
Oh, Upside's exclusive rankings in mega-spreadsheet (and free) update coming soon as well. E-Mac just wants to include NHL Central Scouting's release in our spreadsheet as he likes to aggregate their segregated rankings into one.
