Pakistan brilliance! Picked up two wickets in the 48th over.
Now England are 8 down. Need 29 from 12.

Ali and Woakes down in successive deliveries. I'd say this one's over.

Pakistan win by 14 runs, bouncing back from the WI thrashing. Intense game!

That's a great bounce back win for Pakistan. The group stage is wide open for anyone at this point (except SA, they have a mountain to climb).

Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by 34 runs.
I was really hoping Afghanistan would win, they are a pretty entertaining team to watch.

Sucks for me that we dont have more than one channel showing the games here in Canada as the India game is taking priority over the New Zealand game. Fair enough as that's what 99% of the audience is interested in but you'd think they could have a pop up channel going for simultaneous games.

NZ-Bangladesh was a good match, much closer than the Kiwis would have liked. NZ win by 2 wickets, chasing 244 with 17 balls to spare. Match could have gone either way. Bangladesh have been impressive so far in this tournament.

Mitchell freakin' Starc! What superb death bowling. In his last 2 overs he snaged 3 wickets and only gave up 2 runs.
He also set the record as the fastest bowler ever to 150 ODI wickets.

I never thought I'd see Jimmy Neesham get a 5 wicket haul. Then again, I didn't get to see it did I?
Our bowling has been superb so far.

4 out if 18 games so far have been rained out. How disappointing.

The rain outs are my biggest cricket gear grinder. I guess it's not a big deal in the middle of a 5 game ODI series but it's the freaking world cup and we only get to see each team play each other once.
Surely they could delay the games into the night or even play them the next day to at least get us a result.

Agreed, I dont think it would've helped this one though. I was religiously checking the weather in Nottingham and it only got worse into the evening.
But yeah, more contingency planning should be a must for the next world cup.

They needed to have atleast 2-3 reserve days for missed games.
By the way, if the Finals get washed out the trophy is shared by both teams - how dumb is that?

Very. I'm surprised they dont just award it to the team with the most IPL players.

The top four is looking to be cemented already and theres like 20 group games still to play. It would take a miraculous run from Bangladesh to sneak in at this point, and everyone below them is all but eliminated now too.
The NZ vs SA game yesterday was a thriller with NZ taking it home with 3 balls to spare. Captains innings from Williamson making a century in the final over.

Match of the tournament today between England and Sri Lanka.
Ben Stokes almost pulled off a stunning win but Sri Lanka bowled superbly and defended and modest total of 232 against a top batting side. Malinga was absolutely brilliantly with his spell of 4 for 43.
Sri Lanka - 232/9 (50ov)
England - 212 all out (47ov)

Wow huge upset. When I went to sleep after 15 England overs they had a 95% chance of winning.
