You have girlfriend in Scotland? Me love you too much.

C'mon... they have to have an election now don't they? I mean the EU can't realistically just let them have a long extension (including participation in the May EU elections) without the prospect of something to break the deadlock can they?

The EU can simply say time's up and leave it to the UK to either cancel or accept a hard exit.

They could... I doubt many would find either option especially palatable though.

I’m beginning to think think that invoking Article 50 before calling a general election and losing a majority may have been a mistake.

Spot on, that was the biggest mistake. Once they invoked Article 50 they didn't needto call the election. Unless that was the remain plan all along once they lost the referendum, lose the majority and never get any deal through parliment.

In case anyone is confused on what is going to happen next with Brexit, here's a pretty clear diagram from BBC

Boris Johnson is now PM (well, later today). Can someone please explain how leaving the EU with "no-deal" is any way a good thing that people want like im a 5-year old? I find this Brexit sh*t so confusing

It's not a good thing. A no-deal exit is pretty much the worst case scenario on all fronts for the UK.

On the bright side, might be cheaper for tourists to visit for a while...

Going there next month, it sure has been nice seeing the CAD to GBP well below $2.00, I think it's around 1.6 right now.

It's pretty hilarious actually. People talk about Canada being the stupidest country in the world for kneecapping itself over pipelines but this is much dumber.

The thing is, if people saw the realities of Brexit as they stand now would that vote have gone the same way?

The Brits are kind of the dumb, racist hicks of Western Europe, so it only makes sense that they now have their own Trump.
