Ordered the vinyl and t-shirt this morning. I had a couple of these songs on an old bootleg years ago, but they were low-quality demo versions and sounded like crap. Hearing properly mixed/mastered studio versions of these songs will be a treat.

I didn't expect to love the Black Keys new album Delta Kream, but I do. It's entirely covers of Mississippi blues greats RL Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. For the last few albums I had basically moved on from the Black Keys entirely, and this has reinvigorated my appreciation for their work. It's worth a listen!

Danny Greaves and Joey Serlin of the Watchmen just released a new album as a duo under the name "Serlin/Greaves". Not sure why they didn't just call it The Watchmen, as it's very similar in style to their previous records. But whatever. It sounds awesome, and Danny still has those magnificent pipes.

Gang of Four's influence on the bands that follow is present more than ever today. Damaged Goods is a rare unanimous favourite in IDLES. To be asked to reinterpret it is an honour. Taken from the album "The Problem of Leisure. A celebration of Andy Gill and Gang of Four.” Out 4th June 2021.

Mammoth, Eddie Van Halen's kid's album finally dropped in full today. Wolfgang did a great job, he sings and plays every instrument. Give it a listen, you won't be disappointed.
