I could see both states wanting to be independent and becoming allies to accomplish that goal. It would get really complicated because other Southern states would probably be on Texas’s side as well.
I’m guessing it’s a MacGuffin to avoid dealing with current politics.

Ya it’s weird to say it’s unrealistic without knowing what the movie is about. But by all accounts this isn’t a political movie about the hows and whys the war started. Definitely a focus on the horrors of war and a fractured society. I’d be shocked if there’s any detailed exploration of how they ended up as allies.

Yes please.
The only unrealistic bit is that somehow Florida has stayed with mainstream USA instead of siding with Texas? Madness!

Jesse Plemons is just naturally sliding into the giant void left by Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Big shoes...Hoffman really had a certain presence that is hard to replicate.

Matt Damon only wishes he was as cool as Jesse Plemons.

The Furiosa movie looks awesome. And there’s more Max on the way as well. According to IMDB, Miller and crew are already in production on Mad Max: The Wasteland, which is the official sequel to Fury Road.

That Civil War looks great. But also induces a bit of anxiety lol
A bit to close to home with everything going on right now.

The radio chatter at the beginning of that trailer mentions a Florida alliance, so there's at least 3 factions involved

Could you pick 3 states less similar than California, Texas and Florida?

What are you talking about? Two of those states literally have 'New' in their names! They're practically identical!
