What a catastrophe for Bridgewater. Probably will cost them the game.

With a starting schedule like Texans, @ Rams, @ Seahawks, Cowboys, and 3 of the 4 without Brees, I never would have thought they'd be 3-1. Very impressed with how well that D has come around specifically..that was Lattimore's best game all year, and DeMario Davis is such a stud.

NFC is going to be a dog fight this season...maybe unlike any other we have seen.

3 win teams

NFC - 7

AFC - 3

It's like the 1983 to 1997. Only Washington, Arizona, and Atlanta have less than 2 wins. San Franciso is the only unbeaten team but with 3 wins and it's a pack of 12 teams at 2-2 to 3-1. The NFC North is the toughest Division of the bunch in my opinion. In time I think things will separate a bit and it will be 9 teams going after the 6 playoff spots. The West and East have the advantage as there are weak teams in their Divisions.

Who had the 49ers as the last remaining undefeated team in the NFC?

Honestly, there are 7 of them, but all of them have their glaring weaknesses. No one really scary.

Really looking forward to Brady-Manning being replaced by Kermit Mahomes and Porn Stache Minshew.

Speaking of the legend that is Gardner Minshew II do we see Foles getting the Matt Flynn treatment now? Can’t imagine upsetting the apple cart if the jags continue to win, so far Jockstrap King is 2-1 as a starter. Difficult decisions seem to loom once Foles is healthy.

Isn't that going to be at least a couple months, though?

Yes hence why it would be a difficult decision if they continue to win with Minshew.

Seems like a pretty good problem to have, honestly. You've got enough time to assess what you've really got without any questions being asked. If he turns out to be really good, you let Foles take his time coming back, and then you've either got a hell of a tandem or a hell of a trade piece. I guess that still qualifies as a difficult decision in a way, but it's not one you'd mind having to make.

Buffalo and Minnesota should definitely have interest in Foles, they both should probably be above water by the time he's healthy again and they both just need not trash QB play to be a factor.

The Browns might actually be favored to beat them next MNF.

EDIT - looks like Niners are early 3 point favorites.

Quote:
A permanent London team may be a ways off. Waller long set the goal of having a team in London 15 years after the first regular-season game was played there, in 2007. Each year he’d tell me the NFL remained on track for that. Halpin was more cautious on Friday.

Germany’s on deck. And Halpin didn’t make any bones about that when I asked who’s next.

“The markets we’re looking at are Germany and then Canada,” Halpin said. “The key questions are—both of them, we have great fan bases—what stadium would we play in, and how would we execute it? You’ve got to get strong local support, given the demands of NFL games, the size of our teams, what you need to get two football teams into two practice facilities, and into the stadium on buses. It’s a heavy lift.”

I asked if it’s possible Germany could get a game in 2020, and Halpin simply said, “It’s too soon,” citing the need for lead time. But given the popularity of the game in Germany, it sounds as if the NFL will be going there soon, I’d guess to Munich or Hamburg.

Minnesota can't get out of the Cousins contract. Even in the last year of the deal it carries $31 million in dead cap space. They should be drafting a QB this offseason to back him up next year.

Obviously Cousins has to go the other way. But if you're Minnesota it's worth adding a first and third rounder to dump Cousins for Foles because you're wasting a great roster around Cousins with his backup level play. Jacksonville can afford Cousins contract and as a backup he's useful for the next year and a bit.
