That was an extremely selfish attempt to make 2nd base by Guerrero there, by the way.
Edit: oops, I am on tape delay, so never mind.

What a marathon! Can’t help but smile for Alford. So happy for him.

Appendicitis for Gurriel, done fore the season.
Also very likely they shut Bo down as well, which is the smart move IMO.
Still sucks though.

Ah weird couple of seasons for Gurriel Jr. Hopefully we can finally get a full season of him in the field next year.

Cashman quoted as saying that he didn't trade for Stroman because he didn't think he'd be a difference maker, and that he'd likely end up in their bullpen for the post season.
Ouch. That's going to bruise the big ole Stroman ego I would think.

Luciano is going to be interesting to follow next season. Never pitched higher than rookie ball, got a taste of the majors and will likely go back to A ball next year and still be young for that league as a starter.

Today I learned that Cavan Biggio is yet to hit into a double play since being called up, thats in 336 plate appearances.
He also only hit into one double play in AAA as well.

Wow that is incredible. His on base streak is impressive too. But again, not worth a roster spot.

Yeah, I feel like that’s more sour grapes than anything. The Yankees are far from set for postseason starters. I think Cashman is more butt hurt because he couldn’t land a starter at the deadline.
I also found it hilarious that Stroman responded to the comments. Because, of course he did.

What I love about that streak is how often Russ Adams name is shown. Remember that guy? He was supposed to be the next Jeter...

I don’t mind Stroman responding there.
Kind of an uncalled for pot shot at Stroman that was bush league by a GM to say.
Cashman just had to say “The Bluejays preferred the Mets offer”, no need to slag a player in the media.

I would love nothing more than the Jays sweeping the Rays and knocking them out of the wild card spot. Realistically this won’t happen. But one can wish.

Hernandez quietly with a 26HR season. Too bad he wasnt more of a stud defensively or he would be a great piece to keep in the fold.

So, I was wrong by 2 games as far as the Jays season record.
Interesting to see the offseason now. All of the supposed anchors (and excuses) that Shapiro and Atkins had inherited are now gone as soon as Smoak leaves.
