I'm all for upstream and downstream being symmetrical, but what are you doing that you can't get away with 10 Mbps upstream?

Multiple video meetings suffer greatly.

I know the general sentiment is that everything sucks but my Telus fiber has been great, stupendously fast at 900+ up and down with no variation in speed. If Telus TV sucks, I wouldn't know because I've never had TV service with anybody and don't intend to.

I get 16 ms to google.com and 2 ms to ucalgary.ca on Telus fiber in the airport area.

I want to be part of this data experiment!!
From south of the belt line I got:

Google.com- average 19ms
ucalgary.ca - average 2ms

On Telus fibre 1gig up 1 gig down. Lan connection in my house, not sure if it impacts ping vs wireless

19 vs 16ms average to google is actually quite a large % difference, no?

edit: now my ads on CP include Fibre fast downloads from a company called light speed ha

At those ping times it's pretty irrelevant. Unless you are gaming, anything under 100ms isn't going to make much of a perceptible difference.

Some posting on here should be telling us if their computer is using a wired connection or wireless. It can make a massive difference.

Are you using a VPN?

Oh but I did note wired or wireless!

Wouldn’t a vpn make the ping numbers irrelevant to this discussion?

You just need to disconnect your doorbell and cover your door in spikes like I did.

I saw the Telus lanyard and and "absolutely not interested" followed by a swift closing of the storm door was enough for him to know he didn't stand a chance.
