I had to pause it when Ed was in Kelly's office asking if she was cool if he dated young Kelly. My wife and I had a good 5 minute laugh of the gal he had doing that, and how that would not fly with anyone, ever. "Oh, ya, sure, go date young me. That's not ####ed up at all."

Last night's episode was a perfect example of when this show is awesome. Just when you think it's going to be a cliche-ridden sci-fi stereotype, they add some truly funny scenes and then put their own little twist on it.

Like Ed and Gordon playing video games and Ed not able to use his controller properly.

And the bar scene, and Yaphit dancing.

It does seem John is being marginalized a bit because he's not on the bridge, but last night he was fairly important.

Just watched last two weeks.

Should have saved the Moclan episode for S3. It was ok overall though.

Enjoyed the time travel episode a lot. Interested to see what they do with this.

Liked the guest stars. They’re not just getting core ST cast, they’re bringing in people who also did guest spots.

Did anyone else notice that the actress who plays Kelly has the skinniest legs ever? Not a compliment or an insult, just an observation.

The video game scene was brilliant, now press the left botton the right lever and the X button.

Its why I don't play a lot of modern console games.

We really need a Yaphit episode even though they made him a major part of an episode this year.

Every once in a while John pops his head into an episode in a serious way, but for the most part he's not the Gordon Foil that he used to be.

There was a really low key boob joke in the episode as well. They made sure that young Kelly's were prominant and pushed up and older Kelly not so much.

Sue me I noticed that.

And yeah, Ed wanting to date younger Kelly and asking older kelly for permission was kind of creepy in a way, and the realization that young Kelly wasn't old kelly was a hard realization.

I think that older Kelly sabotaged it somehow because she was forced to look at her life as less then it should have been.

Think you might be right.

The episode title for the finale is "The Road Not Taken"

This is the synopsis, according to imdb:

"I swam in my shirt until I was 20."

Good episode, but I wish they would stay away from the sci-fi tropes a little more.

Nitpicking, but if Ed never captained a starship, never mind the Orville, how did he know the code to get on the bridge?

Maybe its a universal code.

That episode was riddled with plot holes and technical errors or questionable tech stuffs. I think they should have done it as a two parter (or maybe more) and dropped some of the Bortus nonsense.

Wasn't he only in like 3 scenes?

The episode suffered from numerous critical defects, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Nice to see the Lamar character take a turn to actually shine a bit.

Ironically, this is something thats really true to Trek.

Most of the time Star Trek wasnt perfect and suffered from a lot of the same issues, but you charge ahead with the story anyways and its still enjoyable.
