Saw this double bill as a young teen and would still watch:

Deniro’s Cape Fear followed by The Last Boy Scout

Office Space and Fight Club for the complete existential despair for men in the late 90s experience.

My most memorable movie double header was from the first and only time I snuck into a movie. 20 years ago we left The Matrix and walked into the next theatre which was about to start Go. Both are great movies and it was a great late night.

So yeah The Matrix followed by Go. Not much in common other than being two of the most entertaining films of 1999.

I recall seeing a double feature of "Runaway" with Tom Selleck and Silverado at the old drive in.
Somehow it worked.
In fact Runaway would probably fit under the bad movie thread too.

Pretty testosterone heavy so far. Let's try changing it up a little.

Say Anything and Notting Hill

The Secret of Nimh and The Iron Giant

The Neverending Story and Labyrinth

As Good As It Gets and Something's Gotta Give

Dead Poet's Society and Good Will Hunting

Schindler's List and The Killing Fields

Eight Men Out and Field of Dreams.

I'll think of some more later.

~15 years later and i'm still a bit jaded by Terabithia's tricksy marketing. No idea what the book was about--I'd never read it--but I was expecting to see a movie about giants and trolls and magical creatures and whatever bases on the TV adverts, not to be stuck in a theatre with a bunch of crying people.

Anyway . . .

Tombstone and Last of the Mohicans

LA Confidential and Roger Rabbit

What About Bob? and As Good As It Gets

While not related plot-wise, those two movies are kind of a "trilogy" along worth The World's End.
