I am in favour of trading both Monahan and Gaudreau - right now - I may feel differently later. But right now, I think they will not be Flames when we are successful.

Avs humble in victory, didn't rub it in our faces. They were the better team, all props to them and they deserve to move on. Calgary has a lot of reflecting to do this summer.

What a depressing way to head into the offseason. This team has a long ways to go and the questions about this core are valid. I expected way way better than this. How disappointing, I will never care about the regular season standings again.

Well, in the end the team more or less returned to match my earlier expectations of them. The regular season was a great surprise, but I didn't believe this was a winning group before the season started. Sucks that the dream of the regular season is over though. It was a fun ride.

Well, that sucked.

It it was a fun season, and a disappointing playoff doesn’t change that. I was entertained, and that’s what I watch the Flames for. They were, and are, a good team. But they lost their mojo, and the Avs looked really good.

So for now I’ll focus on the positive, we have all summer to dissect what went wrong.
