I'm a Flames fan, but not like I used to be.
This season really helped reinvigorate me though after the boring GG era.
I was pleasantly surprised by the style of play. The emergence of more draft picks as legit NHLers was awesome. Peters is great, and BT continues to impress me (notwithstanding Neal). Despite downplaying my fandom, I got pretty emo last night.
Watching this series I didn't see a team that didn't care, IMO they were blitzkrieged and bulldozed by a team that found their best games of the season in April. That happens.
It's a pity, and squandered chance at a Cup for a team that would have surprised no one if they had won it.
