Kindle/Amazon Fire tablet and LIBBY

Libby, which we use for library books, has finally blown up on my ancient iPad v1, despite a fix that worked for ages.

So we are looking to add a Kindle Fire as our second "reader". Libby apparently runs fine on it after being sideloaded directly from Libby's website.

Can anyone confirm the following:
- it works
- no monthly subscription is required (we are already Prime subs)

Libby isn't on the Amazon app store but I got it installed from Google Play, which takes some work to add to a Fire.

Libby works fine once it's installed. No fees required.

I also use Libby on fire tablet.
I sideloaded it.
Settings- security and privacy - enable apps from from unknown sources
Used downloader to grab and install.
Works excellent

You can sideload just about any android app (tablet) and it will work on a fire tablet. Obviously these are not high powered devices, but they will work for most things.
