Not saying you're wrong but I haven't seen anyone not on CP say he played centre. Whereas hockeydb, Elite Prospects, NHL.com, wikipedia etc call him a wing.

When Team USA put him at centre I was intrigued so I serached hard to see if there was any reference to him playing centre at all. I couldn't find anything.

Harvard tweeted their lineup card for every game. It is public knowledge
Both Tre and Button talked about it when they drafted him, and Tre mentioned it again when he signed
You could also watch game highlights and boxscores to see his faceoff stats
Plenty of info out there

Coronato played centre before went to the USHL.
He was almost exclusively a winger in the USHL.
He was exclusively a winger as a freshman at Harvard.
Harvard tried him at centre for the first half of the season because John Farinacci was injured and they were short on play-driving centres.

That’s all great. I still think you have to ease him in at centre, especially if it’s top 6. Same happened with Monahan and Lindholm.

It was discussed over in The Back Burner portion of CP in the NCAA thread. He played the first 17 games as a center, then 6 games at RW, then he was moved back to center, and finally finished with 2 more games on the wing.

I was just stating the fact that he did play more center than wing this year and he was really good in that position. Also, you're right that he should absolutely be eased into that position if the Flames ever want to try him there.

I watched every Wranglers game this season - home and on the road.

Yes, he showed he was durable. But he won't be able to make the jump until he commits to 200 ft hockey and figures out he can't deke everyone out like it's junior. Take a look at the stretch in the middle of the season, where he went goalless for a number of weeks. He was slamming his stick on the ice, slamming gates. He needs to show some maturity if he wants to live up to his first-round pedigree.

Yeah, he's not ready just yet, sometimes it takes a few years in the minors for the light to come on, he has all the tools, he just needs to learn to be a pro.

I'm very excited for Coronato.

More than any other graduating prospect right now.

If Iggy was impressed, then that's good enough me.

I’ve already pencilled him in to the line up. I don’t expect him to be in the AHL at all.

Slamming his stick/the gates on the bench just show he’s young and emotionally engaged.

Both of those things are good. He’ll mature with time, but it’s okay to show emotion. It’s to have it and show it, than to not have it at all.

He'll take over #19 quite nicely.

Tkachuk loved to slam gates, get emotionally invested every game and take his frustrations out on the ice and bench.
I’d say he’s turned out okay, I think you’re being a bit harsh on Zary.
He’s definitely trending in a strong direction, and could very well be a strong 2nd/3rd line center, I also watched and attended all home Wranglers games for what that’s worth.

He’s the one young guy in the system I think can step right in and have an impact. Possibly Wolf as well. The rest look like supporting cast members.
