Ban MSNBC from all press briefings and courtrooms for 6 months.

The jurors will obviously be concerned about the threats against their family.

The fact that someone was able to just follow them home is concerning. If a journalist is doing that, what is stopping anyone else from doing the same thing?

Former Traffic lawyer and Trump insurrectionist Jenna Ellis thinks it is clear that Rittenhouse acted in self-defence. So I guess that settles it.

Absolutely nothing. That's the point. There is no law against following a bus, nor is there a law from shooting video of anyone from a public street. If the judge is concerned about this he can sequester the jury and can use the underground access to the courthouse and to a local hotel to hide the identities of the jurors. The judge has once again overstepped his rights. If one of the networks had done something in the courtroom, then he has every right to expel or bar the agency. Barring them from something done on public property is against the 1st amendment and is just getting his name in the media, doing the opposite of what he's talking about. The more you make the identities of the jurors a big thing, the more people will be interested and inclined to disclose that information. Out of site out of mind is the approach the judge should be taking here, not making a state case out of something that anyone can freely do. Following a bus is not illegal (not talking traffic violations).

I think most people think he is not-guilty based on the law in Wisconsin.

By Wisconsin law, he could be found guilty of (940.08) homicide by negligent handling of dangerous weapon. It's also why his friend who furnished the weapon is facing 25 years in prison. I think this is the out for the jury. It is a lesser charge and fits with the crime. Letting him walk is a very dangerous precedent the court does not want to set. He has a self defense case against the guy who had the gun, who ironically survived, but the two victims he gunned down, he has a weak case for self defense.

Yeah. Expected but disappointing and sad.

That is one very broken system.

The least surprising outcome ever. What an incredibly flawed and broken system.

What's broken about the system? The system worked. You can quarrel with the law.

All the legal analysis I read before and during the trial predicted that convictions would be tough to obtain for the prosecution. This was a tough case.

This sounds like it was the right legal decision, which is really what one should hope for, right? There can be debate on if the laws need to change, but in the present moment, this feels like the right decision.

Kid just gets to walk away scot free. What a f'n joke.

On a related note, it sounds like he might have a sweet gig lined up for him as an intern for fellow scumbag Matt Gaetz...because of course he does.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Florida Republican, said he believes Kyle Rittenhouse is innocent and he would consider hiring him as a congressional intern.

“You know what, Kyle Rittenhouse would probably make a good congressional intern. We may reach out to him and see if he’d be interested in helping the country in additional ways,” Gaetz said Wednesday during an appearance on Newsmax.
