I am not so offended at a not guilty verdict due to self-defense, but I can't stand how he is being made out to be a good guy either. I believe his purpose there was to appear threatening to people he opposed and it probably worked better than he thought it would, putting himself in a situation where self-defense was required. So not guilty in a legal sense, but definitely not a good kid or a hero in any moral sense.

The OJ Simpson case started with 24 but still came close to running out of alternates as 10 of them were dismissed during the course of the trial.

With how things are in the US these days would anyone be shocked by a hung jury. Wouldn't be a huge surprise if people got onto this jury so they could score one for their team by voting guilty or not-guilty.

Yeah, I'd seen that as well. Again its the idea that the justice system should be a political retribution tool. I don't blame the jurers for being frightened of having their names published with a not guilty next to it.



Its why the government has called up the national guard just in case.

No clue who this fella is, which is why when I posted, I said "unsure of the validity.....". If he's shown in the past to make things up or report things dishonestly, then this should also be discounted. Like I said, I don't know his history.

Even ignoring his repeated history of lying, this is not a federal case, and there would only be US Marshals involved in this if it were federal. So it took a whopping two seconds of logical deduction to figure out he's making it up. Unfortunately through retweets and the related the entire alt-right now believes its true.

Sorry, but this is kind of the whole problem right now. With a lot of things. You shared it, you should know the source. Not knowing doesn’t absolve you.
