Loose dog in the building is 1000x more likely in Canada. As a matter of fact I know someone who is a teacher who brought her dog to school on a weekend while she was doing some prep work and he got away from her when another coworker brought her kids in.

I think you mean unformed cells.
Abortion is necessary medical care, this just means a woman is forced to die of uterine sepsis from a miscarriage.
This means a raped woman is now forced to carry the rapists seed.
This means the 11 year old that a trusted family member abused will now have to deal with something they aren't capable of handling mentally, emotionally or physically.
This means women will die using coat hangers and staircases.
This means more unwanted children being abused in foster care or being left in dumpsters.
This means more actual living breathing people die and suffer for the sake of an unfeeling clump of cells.
This means you are a horrific individual that delights in these things.

In these states, will they still allow abortions to be carried out if birth defects, like anencephaly for example, are detected? They can't possibly be forcing mothers to put themselves and their babies at risk in these situations, right?

Depends on the state. Many of them have exception clauses for rape, incest, "medical emergency" or "risk to the mother's life", but anencephaly isn't necessarily a risk to the mother so... in such states, probably no abortions allowed.

I’m genuinely scared about what this is going to happen next. This is gonna cause a really bad ripple effect that’s gonna be hard to recover from. The future in the US is looking pretty bleak

This really isn't true. Babies in the womb can hear and respond to music and their mother's voice. They have measurable brain waves. They can feel pain. When doing fetal surgery they are sometimes sedated directly or through the mother's general anesthesia to avoid inflicting pain. This is scientifically proven. It may not be convenient but it is the reality.
Whether you are for or against abortion, it is still true, which is unsettling for many.
