I don't suspect Trent will "turn" on the team/ted in relation to his book.
I think Colin's sexuality will get out to the team (not sure by whom, Shandy maybe because she tries sleeping with him) and I suspect Trent will confide with him about it. I also suspect his teammates will say something like "yeah, bruv; we already knew"

Another good one. Really funny but with some very deep themes about anger. Can't get enough of Roy. Biggest laugh for me was Beard saying Jane makes him go to co-dependents anonymous.
Ted's ex might be even more unlikable than Nate. I wonder if Ted expressing anger at her is a first step to doing the same with Nate? Definitely seeing Ted and Nate make up by end of season now.

As someone who recently went through a divorce, I find it to be a very realistic depiction of what it's like. The conversation he had with his ex was spot on. Right down to making the point that you are raising a child together.

I'm still digesting the fact that Ted's ex is dating their marriage counsellor?
To me that seems pretty low...but I'm not sure about...'psychopathic creepy' level?
You're talking about someone who is in a position to have every opportunity to sabotage a marriage to his own advantage...but we dont know that he actually did that? But then...its Ted Lasso...what insane psycho would divorce Ted Lasso? He's literally the nicest person on Earth.
Its all very confusing.

Similar to Trent Crimm revealing his source, it is obvious to an informed audience just how unethical it would be for that doctor to date a former patient, especially given the nature of being a marriage counselor. I think they will have to deal with that at some point the way they wrote Crimm being fired/resigning from his job.

This is the nature of the show though.
Its horribly unethical, but theoretically it could happen.
Am I the only one that wants this series to end with Ted Lasso going on a 'John Wickian' murderous rampage?
"Beware the Wrath of a Gentle Man" and all that?
I mean...nobody would see it coming.
Ted starts opening fire in a crowded soccer stadium...that would be a way to end your show.

Is also an insanely hilarious line.

I do. He's obviously a psycho. He's blatantly fake happy all the time and then goes home and is sad alone. That's super scary.
To me, it really felt like they were going that direction in season 2 and I was loving it. It was like it was pulling the carpet out from season 1 that everyone is happy and positivity can win as you saw it all being held up by a house of cards and a tiny little hair. I think Ted needs too be brought down into some normalcy by the things that are crumbling around him. How could you divorce Ted? How could you marry him? He would be absolutely unbearable to be around all the time.
That said, he pours his heart out to his ex and she's just like..."Okay goodnight". F you. Like, I can imagine it'd be a tough scene to do as she's probably not actually watching the scene and just staring at a computer camera and saying the lines. But, someone says all that stuff to you and you have no reaction, to me, was just super weird. And then she smiles after like "maybe I like Ted" or something? This lady is messed up. And yeah, the dating the counsellor thing is insane as well.

Did Jason Sudeikis have a messy divorce or something? This almost feels like he's dug to some deep personal level to write this stuff, because ya, his ex is written as a really bad person.

No idea how ‘messy’ it is/was …but yes, he’s recently divorced to Olivia Wilde.

I stopped watching part way through season two. The fish out of water novelty was over and it just seemed like more of a soap opera. Does it get better?

Well it doesn’t get any LESS soap opera-y …so if you didn’t like it before, you probably won’t like it now.

I get suspicious of people who can't get enjoyment out of Ted Lasso. Are you sure you are human?

An odd show for me: can't really decidde if I actually "like" it or just "don't mind" it. I'm not a fan of American accents/languaging in general and Jason Sudeikis' version I find particularly grating.
On the other hand, all the Brits are quite enjoyable...whether hero or villain or somewhere in between. There's enough reality in there to make me think and reflect (two divorces in the rear-view mirror for me, along with children) and some pretty good lines, arcs and laughs.
I don't find his ex to be a bad person...self-indulgent and self-centred, sure, but that IS the way it goes sometimes. Just reality there.
Rebecca? She's gonna be preggers.
