Sadly for me this is correct. Not sure why but veggies just do not taste appealing, good, delicious, or tasty to me. It's a battle to eat them, even the most basic of them are not appealing to me whatsoever.

Broccoli in the oven with Olive oil, Parmesan and chilli flakes. High heat, 10 mins per side. So good. Works with cauliflower too.

QAnon is kind of like an Alternate Reality Game, and that might explain part of it's appeal.

What ARGs Can Teach Us About QAnon

Quote:
QAnon is not an ARG. It’s a dangerous conspiracy theory, and there are lots of ways of understanding conspiracy theories without ARGs. But QAnon pushes the same buttons that ARGs do, whether by intention or by coincidence. In both cases, “do your research” leads curious onlookers to a cornucopia of brain-tingling information.

In other words, maybe QAnon is… fun?

I was watching this aVe video today, and I clued one that torquing bolts isn’t to prevent loosing, as much as it is to lessen metal fatigue.

Last week I learned about Benford's Law. I now feel like I am living in a computer simulation.

But have you ever wondered if you’re living in a simulation...inside a simulation?

S. James Sylvester talks a little bit about how some mathematical properties are peculiar and seem way too convenient. Some people use his philosophical physics as their basis for the simulation theory, but he actually argues against it.

Paraphrasing big time here, but he says that contrary to what some people say, mathematics is not the language of the universe, but rather a language that humans invented to try and communicate with the universe. Essentially, all our observations are biased because by choosing the language, we are limiting the answers to comply with the questions we ask. In short, it is useful but has limitations as things are more complex than our brains can understand. Which makes sense, since one system isn't likely to create systems of complexity higher than itself.

I discovered the Abilene paradox.

I've used this philosophy for strategic planning for years and had no idea there was a technical name for it.

My God its the Abilene paradox is annoying.

Wearing a mask as much as I've had to recently, I realize I might have bad breath once in a while.

PBS is currently airing a very fascinating series called "Hacking Your Mind". It delves into the ways that disinformation campaigns such as QAnon essentially hijack the minds of people. Would recommend this show to everyone.

And the iPhone game you're playing right now is therefore a simulation inside a simulation inside a simulation?

My Way, as made famous by Sinatra, was originally written/composed in french by Claud Francois.

Paul Anka brought it to English.

With John Turner's death, I discovered that he led a much more interesting life than I would have suspected. He was much more than just a guy who was Prime Minister for less than 100 days in the 80s.

He was an excellent athlete who once held the Canadian record in the 100m sprint. He qualified for the 1948 Olympics but was unable to compete due to injury.

In the 50s, he had a romance with the Queen's sister and it apparently got so serious that she wrote in her memoirs that they may have married if he wasn't a Catholic. To marry him, she would have had to give up her right to the throne. At the time, she was next in line behind Elizabeth and Elizabeth's young children (if Elizabeth had died, Margaret would have likely served as Queen Regent until Charles reached adulthood).

In the 60s, while on vacation in Barbados, Turner saved John Diefenbaker's life when he noticed Dief was struggling while swimming in the ocean. Unbeknownst to each other, they had booked simultaneous vacations at the same resort.

I learned that nfl draft prospects all take a type of intelligence test called the Wonderlic test. I tried it online and found out I'm smarter than an average O lineman. You can look up the highest and lowest scores. One guy got 50/50...a punter from Harvard. It turns out high scores are just as bad as low scores. You dont want a guy who's going to be thinking too much kicking your footballs.
