That is a good point. We just don't know.

I remember being especially convinced by the picture the SUN published the next day, which showed the puck above the goal line on its way into the net, and it sure looked like Khabibulin's leg was too deep inside to keep it from crossing the line with how fast it was travelling.

I'd wager that the point at which the puck is at neutral due to contact with the pad it is fully across. In the still we have it hasn't yet been stopped by the pad, still a tiny gap there. It moved a little further than the still shows us. But the low frame rate and thus the gap of time before the next image it doesn't allow us to see just how far the puck slid. And even at the point of that still/frame its not a conclusive no, either.

I like Steve Dangle, his bits are actually quite entertaining. At first I found him to be irritating but once you get used to it, it is quite comical.

Love watching Steve Dangle's reactions that involve the pathetic Leafs, those are probably his best material.

Yes, it was painful to see this but it also brought back great memories all the same.

It has to be stopped and nestled against his pad. If the parallax thing is true, it would have kept going and been in the back of the net. There's really no argument for no goal.

I don't have much of an opinion on if that was a goal or not. I was in the dome that night and didn't even know there was any controversy until I was home later that night.

But I was at every home game during that run and not winning still hurts. But it was also one of the greatest experiences I have ever witnessed.

The memes in the game treads were the best. THE ELIMINATOR!!!!

This tread also makes me feel old, I signed up for CP during that run. 16 years ago? Ouch.
