Mind you, Sutter will get that straightened out real quick...
Take care...

What's with the rando trolls coming out of retirement to drop nothing posts?
Getting their weak jabs in before Sutter restores balance to the universe I guess.

I joined in 04 because a good friends son was playing for the Flames farm team in Lowell and was a teammate of Giordano's and is a good friend...
He always thought that Giordano would go on to have a good NHL career as much as this board didn't want to hear it back then, the love in then was with Reghr Jr.
Accusing someone of trolling because you don't like what they have to say is lame...
Take care...

That's pretty much it.
You called it a tear down.

Flames core as I see it for the next 2 season unless there are some extraneous developments (trades, buy outs)
These are players that are signed through 2013-14 or RFA's that would be big news if not qualified
Tkachuk - 23
Lindholm - 27
Markstrom - 31
Tanev - 31
Monahan - 26
Hanifin - 24
Andersson - 24
Valimaki - 22
Mangiapane - 24
Dube - 22
Backlund - 31
Lucic - 32
12 players average age 26.4
4 players over 30 3 player under 23
I would venture to say that the Flames have more players locked in for 2 more seasons than average and the group would be in the middle of pack age wise.
More than half the Flames roster is locked in for the next 2 full seasons.

We did a thing on the core a few months back.
6 forwards 4 D and a 1 G
If you do it by ice time then Vancouver was a bit younger than Calgary, Calgary and Edmonton virtually identical.

I agree with most of the post. But I'll point out that Lindholm just turned 26 in December.

It’s probably because we are stuck with that contract until it expires unless he retires.

8 shutouts so far this year and still with almost half the season to go. That was a good summer of signing, with Tanev and Markstrom coming in.

Coleman has 13 points in his last 15 games. Treliving might be looking very good the last 2 off seasons
Games are getting tougher all of a sudden having 2 beasts on the point in zadorov and gudbranson is looking very valuable
Vladar is a great pick up

Yup,
Canucks might not be dog crap right now if they still had Markstrom, Tanev and Toffoli lol.

Tidbit on the radio this morning.
Markstrom has as many shutouts right now as Montreal has wins.
