Pretty sloppy game. Like pig pen level of slop. Whatever, on to the next challenge. At least we went 1-1 without Gio. And still tops in the west. So thats alright. Im fine with this loss. The bigger game was last night.

Teams can’t get behind on the Oilers. Hitchcock has them chocking off the neutral zone after a lead making it damn hard to create offence.

Twice in last 4 that Flames did not score when Rittich has started.

Flames were running on fumes, you could see it. Boys are tired. I thought they fought back reasonably well, but too many penalties really slowed momentum.

I do feel like Calgary was the better team overall. The Oilers look weak without McDavid on the ice. There was a point in the 2nd when two of them collided and knocked each other down, the Benny Hill theme would have been amazing on a replay.

Bob Cole was getting pretty friggin annoying. But anyway the Flames were in tough to win this one. If the Oilers couldn't take advantage this golden chance with the stars aligned for them (what else is new?) they may as well throw in the towel anyway.

Team looked like they were playing a 3rd game in 4 nights....with the last one ending 23 hours ago.

Neal has to figure it out soon.

Bennett has become a liability as whatever it is he brings to that line, it neuters Tkachuk.

Lots for Peters to work on with the boys.

No Gio or Backlund...so not a big deal even if losing to that team hurts more than most.

Next.

Flames were clearly a tired team but still put up a decent effort against the Oil. Just couldn't beat the trap system Hitch was using.

Disappointing game. The Oilers worked hard to get a win, but it felt an awful lot like the Flames lost the game as a result of being tired from last game and not being fully engaged with this one. They didn't show up to anything like the standard they have in most games recently.

3 more giveaways for Gaudreau to stay top 10 in the NHL.

McDavid mentioned being a Leafs fan in his interview. Counting down the days already eh?

And Flames playing until 11Pm lastnight didn't play a big part of this outcome tonight, right. NHL giftwrapped 2 easy points for these scum.

Flames have all the excuses to lose tonight and made good on them.

Oilers couldn't even take advantage, what a garbage team that is.

They remind me of those boring ass wild teams with Marion Gaborik being the only talented player on the roster.

Boring game. I'll take the loss, while still leading the division and conference.

I’d rather listen to 2 Cassie Campbell’s than Bob Cole. Rittich was fantastic but the rest of the team looked fatigued. But through the course of a season you’re gonna lose some teams you should beat, this one hurts more because it Edmonton but if it was any other bottom feeder it wouldn’t be concerning. Oilers threw everything they had and barely squeaked by on goal by a guy who’s 80% of their offense. Definitely missed Gio and Backs though, it’ll be nice to have the captain back.

Should've been 1-1. meh. Oilers could barely beat us on a b2b without gio backs and fro. Had our chances. Flames were running on fumes. Onto the next one.

Dud of a game. Spent lots of it looking at my phone. Have seen a lot better from the Flames and expect a better effort next time.
