They are going to bring up Peluso and both Peluso and Prout will play Sunday against EDM. That game could get nasty.

We’ll see how they respond on sat night, but as it stands I’d rather them just play the hockey and beat them bad at it instead of trying to engage their goons

Who can say? Concussion recovery is not something one can schedule like a broken bone.

Could also be that they are being cautious and seeing if there are any symptoms that show up today. There is no reason to rush him onto the ice today if he isn't concussed.

I will wait for the official update.

Exactly. The Flames know that the Oilers' primary focus for that game will be revenge, and they'll be running around like idiots trying to hit Tkachuk or goad him into a fight. This of course means they'll be distracted from playing their usual trap-style hockey and will undoubtedly put themselves out of position to try and start shenanigans.

Flames just need to ignore that crap and light them up on the scoreboard where it counts, instead of getting sucked into Edmonton's goonery.

Frolik and Valimaki both without a timetable for return right now?

Do we even know exactly what their respective injuries are?

That hurts. Can Lindholm fill in for him?

No way they break up the 1st line. It's assumed that either Ryan or maybe Janko will move up into Backlund's spot on line 2.

Jankowski has been playing a similar game to Backlund of late so he'll be a good replacement in that spot. Kills penalties, chipping in offensively.

Hopefully he can play 50% of Backlund's game against McDavid.

#Flames at practice today:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Jankowski-Bennett
Mangiapane-Ryan-Neal
Lomberg-Czarnik-Hathaway

Giordano-Brodie
Hanifin-Hamonic
Kylington-Andersson
I'm glad Jankowski is getting an opportunity to play with Bennett and Tkachuk

That could be a killer 2nd line for years to come. Maybe a 1B line of we're really lucky

Everyone will need to be on their toes defensively considering McDavid isn't likely to ever leave the ice.

Try Janko in that 2nd line slot tomorrow against Nashville. See how he does against the top Nashville line. If he's good, keep him in against Edmonton. If not, move Lindholm to 2nd line C against the Oil.

The one where McDavid constantly gets breakaways and makes him look pretty foolish?
