chandler is a disgusting piece of work, but he's getting away with the tactics.

it sucks that to stop him from doing these things it will take time, and by then the election will be over and the damage will already have been done.

The Davison campaign is a disaster..

https://twitter.com/user/status/1443276890790367246

Also, in other news, I got a recorded call yesterday from Perry Berezan of the Flames Alumni association inviting me to a zoom call with Brad Field. I'll grant them they wouldn't know I live in Victoria now since I kept my 403 phone number, but I'd REALLY like the Flames to stop trying to influence voters.

Perry invited me yesterday as well. think I'll send my regrets to that one, but the forum tomorrow might be a better use of everyone's time since it's the 4 front runners

Davison is a slimeball. He smiles and tries to say all the right things but he's running a shady campaign. He can only plead ignorance so many times before you have to ask if he knows what they hell he's doing.

Davison - more than any other candidate - appears to be in the back pocket of developers, private interests, and other politicians. I can't vote in Calgary any more, but I would stay away from voting for him. He's like the younger, more smiley version of Brad Field.

It's kind of funny that Davison delivered the Flames an arena but the Alumni Association is pushing Brad Field.

Are there any polls that get done for the ward races? I'm in ward 3 and while I think my preference would be Jasmine Mian, my main concern is that the UCP shill candidate Trenholm doesn't get in, so if it's a close race I'd throw my vote to whoever has the best shot at beating him

That's what I'd like too. I have three candidates that sound reasonable and I would consider voting for. The (assumed) front-runner, however, is someone I can't stand. So I'd like to vote for whichever of the three I like who is polling best.

I heard a radio interview with Davison a week ago. He never directly answered one question. That takes skill.

Preston Manning just endorsed Farkas. Lights out for Davison.

As if we needed more reasons not to vote for Farkas.

I don't think anyone does actual polling of ward specific races - they are likely considered too small for resources to be used on them. The best I could find was from CBC doing a profile on each ward. The overall website:

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...2021-1.6168586

My ward (11): https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...2021-1.6119810

It's far from perfect, but it does give you a breakdown of the ward in terms of demographics and gives you a sense of what the voters in that ward care about. You might be able to use that information to get a feel for where people might vote.

Sidebar: LOL at the diversity in candidates for Ward 11. Six white dudes out of eight total and zero minorities total.

Just a heads up people, if you're going to use Tweet tags, there is a Tweet button on the advanced post screen. Just put the numbers part of the Tweet URL between those two tags. Then it will embed in your post.

I discussed this yesterday with a friend. If you’re a vaccine supporter and suspected a municipal election candidate was anti-vaccines, would you ask the candidate if he was vaccinated and, if not, why?
