I think it was a joke on Twitter saying if he was called up after the deadline he would make it in time to play the game since he's only in Abbotsford. The crack about his wife having a baby was moreso a rib as to the fact Kipper and Gio both had expectant wives and iffy travel schedules. And the apparent baby boom in the NHL.
